I think the best thing that can come out of any early education is just the feeling of what it's like to enjoy learning. It opens the door for you to be a high slope learner in other stuff, if you're curious and let that be the pole mechanism rather than some sort of push mechanism. I'd never used to excel either. I just got hammered like i was a bottom of the class, like for a long time a just that learning curbe. But you got to sink or swin, you got to learn this stuff. And like having a liberal arts education and being prepared to learn, got just think like its ended up seving me so super well...
