The Collective, the Collectivism, Is at the Bottom

There's a murderousness at the bottom of collectivism that needs to be accounted for. The more tyrannical people become, the less there is of them left after everything is stripped bare. It's much easier to turn against the ideal itself than decomposing and deconstructing yourself as an individual. And if there's lots of you that has become corrupt, then most of what passes through the fire will be burnt off. So it's out of the frying pan into the fire, that's for sure. That's no wonder that people are loath to to let go.
