The Soul Trap Hypothesis

Josh Frydman's new book, "The Soul Trap," is about the idea that death has been hijacked. He says psychopomps are interesting because they seem to have their own agendas. But so many of these stories are mischievous, he writes. The soul trap hypothesis may be an expression of older ideas such as fairies harvesting souls and UFOs abducting people in perpetuity.
