A Space Mission Is Coming Online Soon
The large synoptic survey telescope for Ruben Observatory which is was delayed by the pandemic but that should be coming online very soon. Chris Walker a member of our faculty has a high altitude balloon mission that'll be going up in December of 2023 called gusto. We have one of the largest groups of theoretical astrophysicists of any university we're known more for things like the the mirror lab.
