How to Keep Attention in a Minimal Performance
It's two and a half weeks until the premiere. Wayne tells me that some of this week he's been working on part of the show where twelve dancers flood the stage before refracting into pairs. The worries are how much economy can I afford to have on stage? Some of the audience are very far back. How long can you keep attention in something which is so minimal? Especially with music which is also quite challenging although very full.
