Is the Fed a Constraint on the Banks?
Banks have figured out a way around Basel three and all these. The only constraint is counterparty risk so they can create almost limitless amounts of money if there is productive demand for that money. Once people kind of divorce themselves from that idea it goes back to the banking system being the Sun and not the Fed, he says.
