Deon: We have to make a distinction between, say, a small village or local community, versus the global economy. For example, mono crops of trees to sequester carbon can be devastating for egosistems and soils. What do we do about it? Well, what argues tat we could open up the whole policy to stakeholda consensus representation that would adjust these rewards higher or lower in line with harms and benefits. I think it has potential. Why don't we try it out? It hasn't been done before.
