The Tunguska Event

Tunguska is one of those history mysteries that continues to capture the attention of the scientific community. There has not been another event on this scale in in recorded time for researchers to compare it to. It's estimated that earth takes a hit from an asteroid the size of the one that most likely hit tunguska about every 300 years. Even though there are as plenty of scientific work focusing on explaining and understanding what happened in siberia in 19 o eight, the remaining mystery is enough to fuel all kinds of fictional versions of the tanguska event.
