The Perversion of Religion in the Church of God

After religion is revived in the Church of God, and enemies appear, people that are engaged to defend its cause are commonly most exposed. By perverting us from the simplicity that is in Christ, it is suddenly propelled to the promise of a kind of parodusect state of the Church ofGod in New England. Satan mightily encourages the hearts of open enemies of religion, and strengthens their hands, and fills them with weapons,. when at the same time religion and the church of God, like exposed to them, is the city without walls.
