The Linging Gap in Perception Shapes Social Illusions
Psychologist emily prona says we have a limited understanding of what's going on inside others' minds. She studied the liking gap in children aged four to 11 and found that it does not exist in 4 year olds. Prona: We don't really have access to the inner workings of other people's minds. And so this is a huge problem that contributes to these illusions.
