S18:E4 - How to make sense of the testing landscape (Sergei Egorov)

CodeNewbie

CHAPTER

Getting Rid of Assumptions Through Testing

An empty test is one that doesn't have anybody, like any areal to check any assertions. An empty test should never fail and if it fails, then we have a problem with our test set up. When you see a lot of test failures, one of the first things that you should check is whether the failures were caused by your test set up or by the implementation. And this is a very underrated type of the test lak, it's the tree wi want to have. We don't need spend time figing out what we broke in our application because we are not ready to assert whether application is working correctly or not.
