Dave: It seems like we're trapped between the fact that it's impossible to ignore the power of the global anymore, but we don't really have global agency. Terry Eglton has written two brilliant books and recommend in a brilliant climate defeat. The other one is the concept of radical sacrifice. Now, human beings are capable of sacrifice with the only species which does it outside a kinship group. So the issue is how do you make sacrifice something which is a dispositional state in respect of the environment?
