How to Communicate With the Dead
On Your Mind, Richard Wiseman talks about communicating with the dead. The psychology of it is what's called idiomotor action. With the Ouija board, as soon as it starts to spell out a word, people can quickly figure out what the word is. And so they're then unconsciously pushing towards the letters that you need to complete that word. Some people are very good at this and others nothing.
