Today we're going to be talking about the Rohingya and the human trafficking syndicates of Southeast Asia. It's a story that I've been looking into for years ever since I went on a reporting trip. First in 2013 in the summer, we'll dive into all that a bit later. But right then, I was in a hotel room in Bangkok, preparing to interview a human trafficker known for being particularly ruthless. He regularly had desperate people killed, turned people into slaves, had people tortured and mean millions doing it.
