Aquinas's the Thomistic Approach to God
Thomas Aquinas offers many different arguments for God. But the most fundamental approach of Thomas is found in his De gente at Asencia. He argues that certain things are metaphysical composites of an essence element and an existence element. These elements are really internally distinct, such as the essence or whatness of something does not guarantee the existence for isness of something.
