Is the Past in Our Present?

We interpret the past in our present. That's one of the benefits empirical evidence, is that it's in stone. It doesn't give you pure objectivity. Pure objectivity is not possible. May be in the mind of god, which we don't have access to. But it gets us closer, because we are agreeing on some basics, and then we might disagree on interpretation.
