Cycle Squared Episode 1
The cycle squared episode is a reboot of the Alan Sokal affair it was known as in which this physicist did a hoax article many years ago. I don't have any philosophical objection to hoaxes to illustrate points and I also share the feeling that the Sokal squared hopes did illustrate valid points about peer review. The kinds of issues that that James's speech that we'll be covering today deals with have been doing the rounds for some time and show no sign of getting resolved anytime.
