How to Spot Fake Financial Time Series Data?

i find my human eyes, at least currentlyn the present time, i'm able to tell the fakes. I can always spot something that's a bit of an artifact or giveway to me. But i certainly don't have that same ability if i look at fictitious time series data. Maybe that's cause i'm not a quant and i don't look at the sort of stuff day to day.
