Last year, Ireland raised about 22 billion euros in tax from multinationals. John Defterios: The tech guys will have brought up the cost of rents and the cost of playing that upscale game. He says if those falls in share prices were to reflect falls in revenue and consequently falls in profits and falls in corporation tax, then of course, the corporation tax looks quite fragile. But he adds it is a good thing that the disparity in incomes are brought down.
