The Black Community in Britain
There has been a long black presence in britain. People saw themselves as british, whether they were born there or came to have a better life. The white british population didn't have that sense. There's never been a group of migrants who are so certain of their status and rights. They're part of the liberal idea combined with a distance from us. You think i was more eftence, the ocean round wages. I don't know why you knew your history, if you knew why we were here. We're here because you were there and so on. It's a new story it's a new encounter for all of us.
