Comedian Steve martin wrote about the goldilocks rule. He says people find it hard to stay motivated when they start something new. People experience peak levels of motivation when working on a task of just manageable difficulty, not too hard, not too easy,. So that's in that goldi lock zone. That is about the most motivating zone to be in. And one of the challenges of habits is that there's sort of this cycle of improvement that happens at first you become aware of these habits where you have to exercise some deliberate practice.
