Is There a Risk of Colonization?
Yohai: We exist in multiple systems that are linked, but not fully overlapping. I thinkth there are reasons to privilege state surveillance because of the particular powers of the state and the way the state can really destroy. The idea that you would have a national system concerned with communication security that has an attack on basic interstructure of communications is most powerful example of the risk of colonization. That i see as something that can't really be solved by process, and is a profound challenge.
