We Cannot Dismiss the Criminality
Every time we have a spike in chaotic street attacks, it drives people to want to move to the suburbs. We eliminated institutionalization wholesale in the 19 nineties and that's what created our endemic street homelessness problem. A couple dozen people are responsible for almost all the random street attacks and property crimes in vancouver. So how do we scale and manage those issues? How do we use alternative justice methodologies? You have to have a healthy community to be able to pursue non retributive justice.
