How to Be the Loving Witness of It All
LZ Granderson: Let's do it this way. As you listen to me for the next minute or so, let your eyes close or if you're driving and listening, but tune in inwardly. Notice the state of your body, whether there's tension or ease, relaxation or pain or pleasure. And then you can say to your body, thank you for caring so much. LZ: After you thank your body, notice what are the feelings and thoughts that are here now. Pleasant or unpleasant stories, emotions, sadness, joy, worry. Can you feel them and see them and say thank you? It's not something very complicated; it's true all along.
