Theology and Adequances

The last chapter is trying to describe some of the affordances that are there in an age of authentic individuals. The world is not just this barren wasteland, but there are these things that we can grab hold of as we try to put together life-giving communities. It's really surprising talking to theologians and asking them these questions, like how hard some of them can actually be in thinking of kind of off the cuff kind of answers. And I would probably of all of them, I would probably go with the cross and the lynching tree.
