Anton danton was a member of the jacobin club in Paris. He joined robespierre's opposition to war, but later became actively involved with overthrowing the French monarchy. In 1791 he helped organize co ordinating committee that would start holding regular meetings in the hotel de ville and coordinate activities of paris sections. Danton then started planning an uprising against the french monarchy.
