How Did You Adjust to the Way the Money Worked?

My goal was to put out books that were every bit as professional as the ones that ranham house published. My contract with randhom house, theyre doing these kind of ebook only deals where there's no advance, but you get 50 % of the royalties. So at least by doing it this way, i'm getting paid more regularly. And actually have gotten to the point where i'm doing my own covers now, just because i have some graphic designed background and i understand their principles.
