The Ruins Lesson - A Humanistic Approach

The book is an antidote to what I think of as the unthinking appreciation of ruins. In exchange for wages, the labor submits to being worn and used. There's a principle of planned observed lessons underlying things and persons throughout the system. Accepting the inevitability of death and suffering is quite different from living subjected to ruin under the forces of profiteering.
