Is There a Relationship Between Small Team Science and Review Paper Production?
There is almost certainly a relationship between the shape of the data that is here and the shape of what review paper production looks like over time. Small team science working on specific questions is very heavily deprioritized in the last give or take 20 years in favor of really large lab science. So basically, if we were mining, there's someone sinking shafts randomly and small teams are hitting big nuggets of gold,. but after the big companies coming along and picking which hill needs to be completely raised to the fucking ground.
