The History of Machine Learning

Machine learning has been a game changer when it comes to being able to quickly interpret and act on remote sensing data. It is enabling some sort of very variable tasks that were not possible by the traditional image process in technics. In my personal opinion, machine learning has become indispensa technology in various fields because it can perform tasks that cannot be done by humans. And also in case of flooding, for example, flood extent map is a typical product. It's a kind binaly map. So whee flood happened or not, after closely working with disasteror management people, we figure out they need much more detailed information like innudation depths. Such information is really important.
