The BBC's Policy for Contacting Nicola Bulli's Family
BBC didn't contact Nicola Bulli's partner, Paul Ansel directly by turning up at the family home or by phoning or emailing him. What we have done is we've been in touch with her friends to say that we were thinking of them. We should remember that the beginning and the end of the statement was very much paying tribute to their wife, daughter, mother. It was the middle section that was the attack on the media. And I hope that the media do embrace part of that review as well and reflect themselves about what they've done and the part they've played.
