The Four Foundations of Mindfulness

Buddhist practice of shamata involves focusing on your breath and then bringing it back. It's not the four foundations of mindfulness, which is establishing a mindful awareness that's able to watch thoughts, feelings, sensations, and mind objects come and go. When you look back through it, it opens up that point of view or what I call the witness protection program. There's this almost infinite and intimate landing back in this embodied interconnected feeling as you're saying that has connection as its source.
