The New York Railroad and Its Enlargement

In the 18 forties and fifties, it hadn't eemed so annoying. People were proud of this railroad. But by the 19 twenties and thirties, it was just loud and it was annoying. And it didn't help that the railroad was actually getting a little bit cocky. So in 18 80, a group of neighborhood residents formed a group called the west end association. They would fight this enlargement of their tracks. Years later, years later, arguing before the new york state legislature in 19 13 they won Their case forced the railroad to cover its tracks.
