Using a Punch to Form a Fist

Think of some of our clawed humanoid icons. Could freddy cruger throw a punch? How about these various, like lizard man creatures that show up in all manner of syphi and fantasy? They just always have to slash and bite, right? I mean, they couldn'tcause when you of claws, youre knot and propagan ve a difficulty forming a fist. So we know that the tool use seems to have played a role in the evolution and form of our hand. There have also been some interesting studies that look at how the ability to to form a fist and essentially throw a punch may have played arole in the form of our hands as well.
