The Sound of a Vinal Clarinet

The sound of a vinal clarinet is rather beautiful in its own way, wouldn't you say? It'll never be a flute, but it can certainly whistle somewhat here. The original sound was played by chris taylor of the tremendous band grizzly bear. He helped me making my album compass. This sound can be found somewhere on that record. It was extracted, then played back through this plastic disk, and, you know, turned into a new instrument. Kind of amazing. You never know what kind of device might come in your way. And you can recontextralize old sounds. I think we need to move on to the sustained base.
