Portraiture Is a Very Intimate Experience

I've always felt that art work was at its very best when it tells me a little something about what it means to be alive. Having a photographic portrait taken is a very intimate experience. It's almost like looking in the mirror. There's this magical thing that happens over the acruel of time, and you see the identity of the individual is maintained. Maybe their physical form shi my memoris of fading really very quickly,. i noticed, and i always forgot my emotions and my elings, and even smells and pains. When i look at pictures now, those smells come back.
