The War of the Currents

In 18 92, general electric was formed by a merging of electricity interests's own. It should be noted that edison left General electric and then moved ingraciously into producing electrical appliances. By the 19 twenties,  cities began using it to power everything, so this would open up a whole new life in america. But Edison also saw an opportunity to develop a product using electricity to put people to death. So he developed technique of pumping electricity into people in order to kill them. And on august sixth, 18 90, william kemler was the first prisoner to be electrocuten anywhere.
