The Big Four Banks Are Not Enforced by Regulations
The four biggest banks are considered to be the fair banks by law. The Federal Reserve is not allowed or the FTC is not allowed to let them fail. PNC a big East Coast bank with branches in many, many states and I can't remember the size of it. If it was teetering on the brink, would anybody let it fail? Of course they wouldn't let it fail. None of this is economics. And that's why the Fed has basically a mandate to do whatever the hell it wants to secure stability in the economy.
