How to Start a Mailing List

I wanted to create something that would kind of bring readers in and then have it like a self-sustaining environment. I've always approached it in the vein that I want to write them the same way I write my books. That's kind of the approach I took from marketing from the very start, you know, distinguishing marketing from advertising. It keeps sending on my reader straight from my ebooks to my website for things they want as opposed to things I want.
