The Ugly Gerocracy in Congress
The Pew Research Center says the median voting age of house lawmakers is 57.9 years and that's down one year, essentially. The Senate always tends to be a little bit older by about five years on, on average, what we're seeing here. NPR sees this as a strange thing; 25% of members of Congress are over the age of 70 in both houses. And I'm going to tell you why I think Mitch McConnell should do a hard reboot on national television.
