How Did You Recruit Differently?
To be a successful candidate, you had complete ten interviews to get a job at the company. But what we discovered was that by each interviewer providing essentially their summary to the next interviewer, we were getting confirmation bias. So it was a massive sort of confirmation bias. Whatever the first interviewer said determined the outcome to a wildly disproportionate extent. And so we changed to a system where we had a very senior person do the first interview for starters and then nobody down the line of interviews got to have any feedback from the person before.
