The Importance of Trust in the Church

I think that this is a somewhat unpopular take, but I feel like Christians of all people should be primed to expect other people to sin against them. None of us are immune from daily confession and from receiving absolution and grace. And there's ways in which in American evangelicalism leaders have been unchecked in part because what we've been trying to do is put on a really great show.
