The Negative Predictive Value of Normal Pulse for Aortic Dissection

Aortic dissection only present in 10% of patients with advanced age. Negative predictive value of normal pulses isn't that great for aortic dissections. The patient probably had a penetrating hematoma or an ulcer that then dissected. It's so hard to imagine a dissection that's stopping, but I'm sure it's possible.
