I was interested in this spectrum that I started noticing emerging in your book of ways in which our judgment is influenced by things that don't feel like conscious reasoning on our part. And so they run the gamut. On one end, you have things like realizing from, you know, scientific learning about the world, realizing that my decisions are all caused by chemicals in my brain and by neurons firing. That philosophy can help you recognize that that's not actually what it means to be free-thinking. It's merely a description of your decisions being made, not a proof that you're not making them.
