The Importance of Having a Label
I've never paid myself a salary and like all sort of like skip my own royalties to make sure the artists are paid. So you'll just keep putting in just to keep it a lot. I also got the worst sample lawsuit of my life during the pandemic while I wasn't working and had to like shell out. There's probably this perception from the outside where it's like, oh, he's got this big record and this label and that it up. But some of the records also have samples that take like, all your publishing and this and that so it's not as sweet as it looks.
