Is God Self-Evident?

Aquinas says we can't mentally admit the opposite of what is self-evident. He argues that God exists because he is his own existence, but it's not to us as we don't know its essence or nature. Aquinas gives an analogy about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin: "An infinite number" Because they do not take up space and are spiritually at any particular place in our consciousness.
