The Importance of Having a Base for Cricket Players
Neil Snowball is the ECB's managing director of county cricket. He says players need a base and should be paid enough so they can play in competitions back home as well as overseas. The PCA feel it's important that those who play for their counties have a base to practice, get physio and do rehab. There might come a time where some players go freelance but I don't think there will be huge numbers at this stage.
