The Spiritual Quality of the Golden Valley
There is a spiritual quality to the golden valley, do you think? We have holy wells, we have ancient sacred places like Arthur's house. And these are things that C.S. Lewis picked up on and inspired him in some aspects of the whole Narnia series. So there is a sense here of the sacred. It has been a huge community enterprise. Lots of people helping out. One person who lives next door to one of the churches, and he has said, I'll provide breakfast for any of the pilgrims. They talk and so do we, of bring your own beliefs or none.
