Are Super Recognisers as Good as AI Algorithms?
Facial identification algorithms are being used in everything from social media to policing. Does AI have the ability that Kelly described, which is she can tell people from seeing the backs of their heads? Well, almost certainly not, I don't think because AI has to be trained with images for it to be able to perform these tasks. And also, like he said, masks, facial hair, bits and pieces that might throw an algorithm off, we kind of override those. So putting the two of us together makes a superpower.
