How Nintendo and Riot Owned Leagues and Tournaments
The Washington Post wrote a story about who owns and operates the leagues that operate at the high school level. The company Activision Blizzard did try to put some amount of money into collegiate level esports as well. It wasn't Nintendo or Riot that came knocking it was the company that had partnered with Nintendo and Riot saying hey no no no like I know that you just want to like get some kids together after school and run a tournament but you can't do that unless you license our stuff.
